Common questions
Pricing and Offers
Is the quote really free?
Yes. We'll look at the job and give you a fixed price before anything happens. Say no and there's nothing to pay.
What does "$50 off when you book online" cover?
Use the booking form on this page instead of calling and $50 gets knocked off the price we quote you. Seniors can combine it with the 10% discount too.
Do prices change once you start?
No. The price we quote is the price you pay, full stop. If the job turns out trickier than it first looked, that cost sits with us, not you.
How do quotes work?
A plumber turns up, has a look at the blockage and, if it's not obvious what's going on, runs a camera down the line to confirm it. From there you get one number in writing, and nothing starts until you've said yes to it.
Common questions
Licensed, Insured and Done Properly
What warranty do I get?
A lifetime labour warranty on the work, not a twelve-month sticker on the invoice. If it's not right, we come back and fix it. No questions, no cost to you, no matter how long ago the job was done.
Do wipes really block drains?
Yes, and that includes ones labelled "flushable". They hold together in the pipe instead of dissolving, and we pull them out of blocked toilets and sewer lines all the time.
Are you licensed and insured?
Every plumber on the tools holds NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C, we're Master Plumber accredited, and we carry $20 million in public liability insurance.
Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?
Anything from your boundary shaft back into the house is yours, and ours to sort. If several homes on your street are affected at once, that usually means the mains, which is Sydney Water's job to report and fix.
Common questions
Response Times and Booking
How do I book online?
Pop your details and the problem into the form on this page and we'll ring to lock in a time. Booking this way is also what triggers the $50 discount.
What counts as a drain emergency?
Sewage coming up through a floor drain or shower, a toilet you can't get to stop running over, or water pooling somewhere it never has before. Ring us the moment you spot any of those rather than mopping up and hoping.
Are you really open 24/7?
Yes, including weekends and public holidays. A licensed plumber answers the phone every time, not a machine.
How fast can you get here?
We guarantee a plumber on-site within 30 minutes of your call in Kensington. Same-day service is standard for anything that isn't urgent enough to need that.
Common questions
The Kensington Questions
Why do Kensington's older drains keep blocking?
Plenty of homes around Doncaster Avenue still run on original earthenware sewer pipes laid before the war. Once the joints crack, they let in tree roots and fine debris, and clearing the pipe once doesn't stop the same weak joint from filling up again a few months later.
What suburbs do you service?
Kensington plus Kingsford, Randwick, Eastlakes, Maroubra and Coogee. Not on that list? Give us a ring anyway, our plumbers cover more ground than the website shows.
Do you know Kensington's pipe stock?
We do. It's a suburb with two very different building eras standing side by side, from turn-of-the-century cottages through to recent apartment towers. The pipes underneath each generation behave differently once they crack or age.
Do you work on strata and apartment blocks?
Yes, and often. Roughly seven in every ten homes here are flats or units. Shared drainage lines serving multiple apartments come up in our week regularly.
